Mahabalipuram

nous revoilaaaaaa !
Après quelques semaines bien chargées de boulot, on revient à un rythme plus calme, et, (bientôt), aux vacances !
On a quand même eu un peu le temps de voyager, début Avril on a passé un week end de 3 jours bien cool à Mahabalipuram, sur la côte est de l'Inde. La ville date du VIIème siècle, et on peut y voir plusieurs temples, grottes et surtout un immense bas-relief. Le village est plein d'ateliers de sculptures en pierre, qui vont du petit pendentif jusqu'aux divinités de 2 mètres de haut ^^
Et après avoir visité tout ça, détente au bord de la piscine dans un hôtel super classe !

We're baaaaack !
After a few weeks full of work, we are going back to a more peaceful pace, and soon to vacation !
We still had some time to travel, in April we spent a cool 3 day week end in Mahabalipuram, on the East coast of India. The town was settled in the 7th century, we can see several temples, caves and a huge bas relief. The village was also full of stone sculpting workshops, they sculpt everything from small pendants to 2 meters high gods !
After visiting all this, relax by the swimming pool of a classy hotel !

Trailer Shrek 4

Voici la bande annonce de Shrek 4, le film sur lequel on a travaillé quand on était à Los Angeles. Il sort fin Juin en France, et surtout, dans la bande annonce, il y a un plan sur lequel j'ai bossé !! A 1:25, les 2 ogres à gauche derrière Shrek, c'est moi qui les ai animés ! :)

Here is the Shrek 4 trailer, the film which we worked on when were in L.A. It will be released in May or June, depending where you are. But most of all, i worked on a shot in the trailer !! At 1:25, i animated the 2 ogres behind Shrek on the left ! :)

Happy Holi !

Des photos du 1er Mars, c'était la fête des couleurs en Inde, Holi, on a donc fêté ça au travail. Tout le monde se lance des pigments de couleur en souhaitant Happy Holi. C'était trop bien, on devrait en faire plus souvent des fêtes comme ça, c'est rigolo :D

Pictures of march 1st, it was Holi, the celebration of colors in India, so we celebrated it at work. Everyone throws color pigments at each other, saying happy Holi. It was great, we should have more holidays like this, it's so much fun :D

Bombay

Une fois n'est pas coutume, c'est pas Seb qui va mettre le blog à jour !
voilà quelques photos de notre voyage de 3 jours à Bombay mi-Février, notre premier voyage depuis qu'on est arrivés à Bangalore. C'était sympa, la ville est une espèce de mélange entre vieille architecture coloniale et bâtiments posés les uns sur les autres, et surtout y'a plein de monde partout !
On a eu le temps de visiter pas mal de choses, notamment le musée Pince of Wales avec plein de sculptures et d'artisanat indiens et asiatiques, une île avec des vieilles grottes sculptées, Elephanta's Caves, la gare Victoria Terminus, et sinon on s'est beaucoup baladés dans les rues, et on s'est fait une fondue dans un resto avec du vrai gruyère suisse, miam !

Here are a few pictures of our 3 day trip to Bombay in February, our fisrt trip since we arrived in Bangalore. It was fun, the city is a kind of mix between colonial architecture and buildings built on each other, and mostly, it's definitly too crowded !
We had time to visit quite a lot of things, including the Prince of Wales museum, with many Indian and Asian sculptures and art and crafts, an island with sculpted caves (Elephanta's Caves), Victoria Terminus train station, ans we also hanged out a lot in the streets, and ate a real fondue with swiss cheese in a restaurant !

La gare Victoria Terminus, rebaptisée Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Elle accueille tous les jours plus de mille trains et 2 millions de passagers.

Désolé !

Désolé du manque de post en ce moment, je n'ai pas vraiment pris le temps depuis notre départ de Los Angeles en novembre 2009 de faire de nouvelles news, mais tout se passe toujours aussi bien, on est donc parti de L.A en novembre pour un long voyage de 24h vers Bangalore en Inde pour commencer une nouvelle production, Scared Shrekless, un spécial télé avec Shrek pour Halloween, peut etre que ça passera à la télé française aussi, vu qu'ils ont passé le spécial noël Madagascar cette année (qui a d'ailleurs été produit dans le studio ou on boss en Inde).
on est donc arrivés dans notre grand appartement, ça change du studio de 40 m2 qu'ont avait a Paris ^^ et commencés a bossé sur Shrek, ensuite on est rentré en France pour les vacances de noël, qui ont passé a une vitesse folle ! :(
Retour à Bangalore début janvier 2010, on a reçu toutes nos affaires de France, ma chère ps3 et mon ordi qui m'ont taaaaaant manqué ! maintenant je suis bien équipé pour pouvoir mettre à jour régulièrement ce blog ! je post quelques photos de notre fin de séjour à L.A avec notamment des photos d'Halloween, c'était fou ! des alentours d'où on habite, histoire que vous vous fassiez une idée, bientôt on prévois de partir visiter soit Bombay ou Goa, la y aura pas mal de photos à prendre !
au fait...ici il fait trop bon, chaud, et on prend le petit dej sur notre terrasse en faisant bronzette :p

Sorry for not posting lately, but i didn't really find enough time since we left Los Angeles in November 2009, but everything is still going well. So we flew to Bangalore last November, to start working on a new production, "Scared Shrekless", a TV special for Halloween, with Shrek.
So we arrived in our biiiig appartment, it really changed from our 40 m2 appartment in Paris ^^, and we started working on Shrek, then we went back to France for the chrismas holidays, which were really fast ! :(
Back to Bangalore on January 10th, 2010, we received all our stuff from France, including my PS3 and my computer that i missed sooooo much ! Now i have all the equipment to update this blog regularly ! I'm posting a few pictures on the end of our stay in L.A, including crazy Halloween pictures. And also pics of the neighborhood, where we are living now. We plan to go soon to either Bombay or Goa, there will be quite many pictures to make !
By the way... the weather is great, hot and sunny, so we can take our breakfast on the balcony every week end ! :p
